Our objectivies
DHO as local base organization on ground has two perspective of objective which strategically term as short and long term objective and are as follows:
Short term objective
- Give emergency assistance to less fortunate members of society affected by famine, floods, wars etc.
- To improve the quality and accessibility of drinking water
- Support peace building and reconciliation activities through education (drama, sports, songs and poetry)
- Increase women participation in the society
- Raising community awareness regarding to self-reliance, influencing decision making process, ownership, and democratization and strengthening civil society of all genders.
- Promote the adult education program
- Mobilizing the community towards the achievements of equal opportunity regardless of status or
- To promote the protection of the environment and improving the sanitation
- To advocate for the deprived right of the Female gender {Equality} as well as the young
- To participate and develop peace rallies in the Region and the District in
- To support the education activities through mobilization of youth to eradicate
Long Term Objectives
- Improve livestock and agriculture through better animal husbandry and agricultural
- To access markets for agricultural and livestock products
- Environmental protection through public awareness and fight deforestation through excellent programs of a
- Improve accessibility of water and focus on community sanitation
- Alleviate poverty through the creation of micro-enter prices; beekeeping poultry keeping, vegetable gardening
